Computed Radiography Equipment (CR)
Computed radiography is similar to conventional radiology. The difference is that imaging plates are used instead of film. The imaging plates are processed by a laser digitizer, not in a dark room and the image is sent to a computer and stored digitally. The imaging plates are reusable, and there are no additional film processing supplies such as film, chemistry and darkroom equipment and consumables to purchase. This saves time, money and space.
